Carter Spradling, a sophomore at Clovis East High in California, finished fifth in the boys varsity race at the Tri-River Athletic Conference championship meet at Woodward Park in Fresno. Spradling covered the 5-kilometer layout in 15:49.3 to help Clovis East place fifth overall with 110 points.
